Anti Virus/Spam

The terms Virus and Spam are well known, but often not well understood. New terms such as Phishing, Spyware, Adware, Trojans and Root Kits complicate matters; suffice to say none are pleasant. We often hear, "we don't need antivirus on that PC, it doesn't get used on the internet". Whilst the Internet is indeed a major source of possible infection, so are emails or simply files and PCs on your network (viruses have even been known to get distributed unwittingly by hardware vendor driver disks).

Be safe, use a good antivirus program on each PC and update it automatically each day; costs are from around £15 annually.
